The COACH Program

Originating in 1995, The COACH Program is the world's first evidence-based (clinically proven) program of coaching for the prevention of chronic disease and is the world leader in coaching in clinical medicine.

We provide training, software and support for qualified health professionals to deliver coaching (via The COACH Program) to patients with chronic disease(s) to achieve and maintain the target levels for their modifiable risk factors and to take the recommended medications as set by the best practice (national) guidelines for the management of their chronic disease(s).

The COACH Program is supported by the highest level of evidence with randomised controlled trials published in peer reviewed international medical journals. It is the solid evidence-base that is the reason that The COACH Program has been sought after and adopted by organisations in Australia and internationally.

The COACH Program is now the most widely used chronic disease management program in Australia operating in the public health system in every State, the majority of the private heath funds and has expanded to Europe.

The COACH Program has been recognised with multiple prestigious awards, academic and business - the most recent being the 2009 Telstra Australian Business of the Year - National Winner - chosen out of more than 3500 businesses.

Other awards include the 2006 Australian Healthcare Association Baxter Healthcare National Innovation Award for Heath Outcomes; Victorian Premier's Commendation for Medical Research in 2003; the Ralph Reader Prize for Clinical Science awarded by the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand in 2002; and a Young Investigator Award at the 5th International Conference of Preventive Cardiology in Japan in 2001.
